In the Pastoral Epistles, we find two lists of qualifications for elders or church leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9). Based on those lists (you may also refer to 1 Peter 5-14) write on one of the following prompts. Prompt 1: Pick one qualification and describe how it should be displayed of a church leader or pastor today, using other Scriptures to support your work. (Consider yourself in the position, meaning, don't make the description unrealistic!). Prompt 2: Based on the list of qualifications, in your own words, describe a faithful pastor or leader. (You can make reference to the list, but this is meant to paraphrase it, not simply quote the Scripture. In other words, don't just write out the list again). Reply to at least one other student's work.

Hi everyone i'm reposting prompt #2 in case anyone missed it when i did it along with prompt#1 Prompt 2 Faithful Leadership I see a faithful pastor/leader as one who truly loves his or her members to the point where he or she will call them out if they are wrong. A faithful pastor is a follower of Christ, that is he/she strives to be Christ-like in everyday life; good conversation ( Ephesians 4:29), strives to be submissive to the Holy Spirit ( Psalm 40:8 -1), is a good teacher and has no trouble admitting he/she doesn't have all the answers. I see a faithful pastor as one who has and practices discipline in his/her life. A faithful pastor is also one who practices pastorial care, participating with other forms of help within and outside of the church meeting the needs of the body. A faithful pastor reads the Word of God consistently (2 Tim. 2:15), seeks, and uses God’s wisdom (James 1:5), stands ferm on God's word and God's promises.
