Paul tells us in Eph. 5: 21-6:4 and in Colossians 3: 18-21 the role that men play within the family dynamics and the important role that men play within that dynamics. However men are failing their families in a huge way. When a man is not present within the home he can't provide the example for his wife or his children putting the wife in a position that she was never intended to be in. The wife/mother is now left being the provider setting the example for her children which is not what God ever intended. All we have to do is to look at society as a whole and see that the number one problem is that we have to many fatherless families attempting to survive and it is not happening.
Statistics from https://www.thespruce.com/fatherless-children-in-america-statistics-1270392 show that suicide, runaways, behavioral disorders, high school drop outs, juvenile detention rates, substance abuse and aggression are at 63% or higher in a single family home. The biggest social problem that our country has today is the meltdown of our families and mother's being left in a role that was not to be there's to begin with.
I believe the question that must be asked is what are the Christian church's doing today to help it? How important are our men's ministry program's? How well do we do at reaching out to men? To fatherless boys and trying to match them with another role within our member's? How willing are male Christian's wanting to put themselves out to help with the problem?
